Fancy going to another place a bit out of the ordinary again next year, somewhere coastal, but off the beaten path. Preferably a hot place too, and somewhere that takes longer than 18hrs to get to from door to door.

Suggestions please...

I've never really been drawn to South America, but i'm going to look into it now you've suggested it.

See how good I was resisting posting the obvious?

Personally other than going towards Australia (not sure where you visited Asia way when you went) I think South America is going to be your best bet.

Would love to travel that way personally, both the major cities and in the Amazon.

I fancy going back to independent travel again, rather than the resorts, but i'm still open to both.

Travel down through Indonesia etc?

A colleague of mine took 9 months off work to do a tour of SE Asia and spend some time is Oz - he started in Bangkok, then Singapore, then travelled down through Indonesia to Australia, think he spent 3-4 weeks in all getting from Bangkok to Sydney.

I've not been to Indo/Malaysia. I've toured the majority of SE Asia though.

Mentioned Little Caymen in a previous post, freind of mine were there recently on a diving Holiday and it looks amazing.

As previously said South America would be a good shout. I'd love to go to Peru to do the whole Inca Trail and visit Machu Picchu
