H team,

Whats your thoughts on this appointment? I think it's a good decision going with LEvein, he seems to be good at taking crap teams and making them play a lot better! One downfall at Hearts was that he was very defence minded however it made us very difficult to beat!

I think thats exactly what Scotland need. Were shit at football but as long as were difficult to beat we will always be in with a chance!

......I dont expect the English chaps to care much about this btw lol!

I think being stubborn defensively will be a good thing for you guys. When playing the better nations I think aiming for a draw or sneaking a narrow win is your best hope. Not bashing you btw. Just saying.

I don't know much about him tbh, I don't think Scotland managers are the problem, it's the current crop of players in my opinion.

Agreed with you both lads!

nath, totally agree mate, hitting on the counter attack and sneaking a flukey goal will be our best hope (even again the so called worse teams!!)

quite positive about Levein! Hopefully introduce some new players to the fold as well!

I actually think this is the best group of players we've had for a long time (although that's not saying much). Under Walter Smith, the biggest nations on Earth would come to Hampden and get a hell of a tough game (Italy won throgh a refereeing blunder, France lost home and away).

If we've dropped into the third pot we'll struggle for a few years, I'm pretty sure we have?

He's an excellent manager though that would have been a success at Leicester as well if the place wasn't in financial meltdown whilst he was there.

dont know if its the right move to be honest.hope it is.

everyone is sayin he is a great manager etc look what he has done with united.

but think back few years ago when burley was at hearts he done great with them yet never done anything with the national team.

however i reckon he's the best that would take the job

To be honest, as long as he can motivate the players to want to die for the jersey I'm not fussed. Under Smith and McLeish every player gave their absolute all, with Burley they didn't seem to give a toss.

Thats true mate. I think Levein is one of those managers that gets the best out his players though, the phrase, "you can only piss with the cock you've got" springs to mind lol!

There are shit loads of better keepers - Gordan has even gone through a patch (and yes I know he is currently injured) where he wasnt even first choice at Sunderland ffs.
