I've only ever been to 3 games.

Pittsburgh Penguins (Whilst on holiday)
Sheffield Steelers
Hull Stingrays

Going to go see the Steelers again next year, pretty cheap at £14.

Anyone go/watch etc?

Yeah I love it. Lived in Canada for a year and got really into it! It's not on tv so much which is a shame.

I used to go watch the Sheffield Steelers all the time. Was there to see them win the Grand Slam

Saw them win the league and challenge cup various times as well as the B&H cup.

Started going when Don Mckee was in charge and they weren't doing so well, then the heady days of Mike Blaisdell. Unfortunately there just isn't any money in Ice Hockey anymore. It used to be covered on SS and the BBC but there is fuck all anymore

The games against Nottingham Panthers were fucking ace

They are having a poor season this season

I must have been saying for the last two season that i need to get myself back there, its such a brilliant way to spend an evening. I reckon my Steelers shirt will still fit me too

At £14 ticket prices have flown down too. Im sure it used to be around the £20 mark and that was in 2000!

I am, used to play in Hull & trained for the Singrays (or Thunder as they were then) for a bit until I had to stop playing

Always been a Steelers fan at heart though, gotta stick with your local team. I used to follow New Jersey because they had Marty Broduer. Plus you could never lose on the NHL games with him between the pipes

I follow Boston in the NHL, went to see them when I was in town with work a few months ago. If anyone caught the 2010 Winter Classic game it's epic, just a shame that Lucic wasn't playing!

must have missed this thread. i used to be really into hockey in my teen years. i was never a strong skater on ice but i played lots of roller hockey for 5 years.
i used to go to the M.E.N to watch Manchester Storm back in the day but they are no more due to financial troubles. I've never bothered with the Phoenix as their standard of hockey is terrible.
In the last 3 months i've started getting back into watching the NHL. I'm a Dallas Stars fan but i'll watch any game really. I love the fast pace. not just of the hockey but of the league itself. Football can be boring due to the in-frequency of the games.
I'd love for us to finish in a playoff spot but we are currently sat 10th and having a very poor run, mainly due to Alex Auld being between the pipes. our game against NJD showed what a poor goalie Auld is.
