Bumped into an ex of someone i work with, they were together for years, split up about 5mionths ago, she has made it clear that shes interested and we been talking on facebook (we were friends already on there) few texts etc. Thing is i feel extremely guilty so i called it off, shes not taken it too well. I do really like her.....what do you guys think?
p.s i am not friends with him personally but we often work together and were part of small team at work, as hard as it is i think im doing the right thing overall?

Pffff, work is work, private life is private life.
They say you should keep work and pleasure separate, but it has nothing to do with him. If he has an issue at work which causes friction in teams, that is his problem, not yours.
I'd carry on with her tbh.

Its nice to think thats how it is, but it clearly wouldnt be.
I guess it would end up causing some sort of problem, it if its worth putting up with that for her.

Best to keep work and your private life seperate. So if you have to work together just focus on the work.
If you feel its right, Just go for it

Very true.
But at the end of the day, if it did cause problems and I was a manager, it'd be his problem for being uppity, not for two people and their private life.
I'd be such a horrible boss.

He may not get arsey though, he could just make life extremely difficult for him at work, get him in shit for stuff he hasnt done, etc.

Ruin her.
Absolutely pound the living daylights out of her to the extent she will think you are going to punch a hole through her spine.
Record it all, expecially the part where she gets the big O and starts to shake like a shitting Dog and she says you are the best.
Email him a copy.
He will leave as he won't be able to look at you.
Then you get to plough her and you don't have to worry about your work colleague because he won't be there anymore!

Why should you put off the things in your life so you don't upset someone you don't really know or care about, its your life and your future so do it, don't be a fucking soft bastard just because it may upset him, they split up, its no longer his business, remember that.
TL;DR, Don't be soft, go for it.

If he was a friend I'd understand. But you're going to step on someone's toes in your lifetime, may as well make it for this tart!

Do her, you'll only regret it when he does something to piss you off at work. Don't even think about it, I've let too many birds go for stupid fucking reasons and regret it every day since lol... "WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T I JUST DO HER?"
