Boils my fucking piss, that Gordon Brown is spending £300M on Giving laptops to shitcunts that can't say their own name, when things like this have happened in the world.

Brown gives £6M To Haiti.

Obviously he doesn't have to give a penny to the third world, but he's just bumming off obama, an hour after obama released his plans for haiti, brown released his.

Don't see the sense in it!

Discuss....

If he can afford £300M of our money to give crack addicts the option of looking up new drugs on the internet, i'm sure he can afford to give $10M to a country that desperately need it.....

My point was to Gary, as he said nobody should get the money. If the country can afford £300m on shite, then i'm sure £6m wouldn't dent the accounts to help a country in need.

Not our country to be saving IMO.
I also don't agree with the laptops.

tbh we should be providing some funds for things like this, and as said if he can afford £300m to give free laptops away then he should be able to afford 10% of that amount at least to give aid.

I thought there was a fund for this. So technically we aren't giving them money which could be spent elsewhere.

I think that one of the first things he did when he became chancellor was write off a large amount of African debt. He did it very quietly and there was little publicity surrounding it.

But after all, we are the angry mob...

I refuse to believe any Govt would do such a positive thing without shouting it from the roof tops.

I don't think that a country with a GDP of $6.9 billion is in a position to be giving $10 million away. To put it into context, our GDP is what $2 trillion?

I bet if you split that between the population, then took in to account cost of living, that we'd come out not too far apart.

It's all well and good giving a shit about countries who've had disasters (I agree with doing this to some degree as yes I feel sorry for them) and laptops to people who would probably spend it on drugs booze and whores etc etc but what the f**k do us the law abiding taxpayer get? nothing - oh just the bill

But I guess flat scree TVs are more important than people who live in poverty and have just recently had 100000 people from their population killed in 60 seconds.

TBF cost of living doesnt really take in to account flat screen TV's, but yeah, to some it probably does.
