Anyone on here? I was the chap in the astra who you had a dabble with.
Round the corners, it really did confirm to me that corsas don't do bends, and that it wasn't a 1.6 16v in the front... You was nearly stopping.
But boy oh boy, on the A2 in a straight line you left us bloody standing!!!!! Seriously, left us for dead ha ha.
Corsa V6 - 3
Astra VXR - 0
Question: Anyone know who's it was? Seemed more like a SC V6 than a standard V6, it just pulled too hard. Loved the standard backbox as well
(PS, I was pointing out that the missy in the passanger seat had a LET corsa )

Totally standard, on unleaded fuel, so probably about 220bhp odd (UL reall drains the power and gives huge flat spots).
1400kg + 2 adults.
But a standard V6 Corsa shouldn't pull that hard im sure. Hopefully someone knows of it around the Kent/SE area.
Think it had black cav slabs wheels on it also.

I'd be surprised if there was room in the bay for a charger as well as the v6 after seeing a couple a few years ago

Been done years ago. Loads of room
Only thing is I didn't hear the SC whine, and it should be quick, but honestly, it left us standing.
Only way I know of to get the V6 power up is 3.0 cams, head work, and a new exhaust system (and flywheel to increase acceleration).
120 though, and it was still leaving us!

Indeed, chuckling away.
We'd been out for a meal, and the service was awful, and it was bloody expensive, so a poor night.
This indeed made my night a whole lot better. We'd followed him for a few miles, and it booted it off, I said to Donna "thats NOT a 1.6, i reckon thats got a LET in it"...
After a few dabbles I pulled along side and he gave it some beans, deffo a V6.

Could have been anything from a 2.5 to a 3.2 remember.
My guess would say itd be a 3.0 V6.

i really dont think vxr's are that quick! they are just to heavy thats there biggest prob! even if the corsa has same power with tweeked v6 he has almost 4-500kg less weight so his power to weight is gonna be far superior!

theres a 2,5 v6 round here when i raced that he only just won so it might have been a 3.0v6 or maybe a let??

there isnt much power difference between the 2.5 v6 gsi engine and the 3.0 engine. sound completely different to a c20let also. its totally possible it was a 2.5 v6 that hammered damio's astra.

I can't for the life of me remember the guys username on here - sure it was Matt somebody he was quite local to me, Horsham way.
He had done a red V6 engined Corsa that he sold on eBay last year somewhen - may well have been that if it was only in Kent, it was fairly standard looking too and had Cav slabs.
EDIT: Here's the one I was on about, not Slabs after all: http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=456692
Not quite as standard as I remembered it either, so I may be totally wrong

Adam - The noise, plus his head nodding to my V sign (not via two fingers up )
Flaming - Neither do I. They are nippy but no-where near "fast" at all. Mid range performance is ok, but the car needs less weight and a stage 3.
J200, thats the one Nice one.
Nic, not my astra, its Donnas . It could be a 2.5 V6, but i've been in one of those and it didn't feel as quick as the astra pulls. If it was a 2.5 im impressed. Honestly, it just pulled away like Donnas LET corsa pulled on my XE corsa. I even got the power down earlier on one attempt but it still pulled away after a few seconds. AS i say, 120+ and it was still going going gone....
Rich, nahh, it was a GSi, it looked totally standard bar being lower and on black painted wheels. It even had a standard GSi sized tailpipe!! Mega

The torque difference would be though.A 3.0 V6 would hammer a 2.5 V6.
