im well jelous of anglers down south, the ponds and lakes are far better than the crap ones u here. a 20lber is a rareity up here. and the only lake with big fish in is £40 a night !
i only go pike fishing on drains and canals, theres always loads of bait fish in them.

has anyone seen any adverts for the Four Seasons Fisheries just outside of Blackpool? i did 2 nights on there last summer and the facilities are awesome. they have optional electricity at every peg and it was about £2 for 24 hrs. i took my bait boat so it was spot on for charging that up. most of the people there seemed to have taken portable dvd players to help pass the time. if they had wifi then that would be ace. the fishing was poor though. i went with 2 mates and between us we only had one carp. the water was very weedy and i'm sure the fish simply couldnt find our bait. i took the marker rod and had a poke about but there were hardly any clear spots at all. i think if they sort out the weed issue this place could be amazing.

i go fishing down to devon every year, a place near clovelly, the place has 6 lakes all heavily stocked, the lodges are all pine and have saunas etc, the lakes are literally 3 feet from the lodges.

we should have a CS fishing match

so what are we doing then? a carp match when the weather is better? i know this will never happen but if it did it would be ace! i wonder if we would be entitled to use the hospitality bus...

i would do that, would not take too much effort to meet somewhere mid way at a venue and have a night or two fishing, all you need is your gear and a tent and sleeping bag!

we'd have to decide on the venue though. do we go for a runs water or one with bigger fish? i personally wont fish anywhere unless it has 30's in it.
