i have transfers my boot plate is standard writing and size on a reflective viynal sticker which is legal... but im not sure on my front... 3 quater size in standard writing on non reflective white.. also a sticker

if any 1 knows thats gr8 cheers !

Nothing is legal apart from the plate a standard car would come with.

Well you can get pressed plates which are legal, but in terms of size theres no real grey area - standard size and thats it.

i always carry my standard plate in the boot becase if the Police whinge ill say oh sorry ill put the original back on now, jst been to a show and forgot etc
tht way i might get out of a fine

actually, pressed plates from places like Dubmeister ARE legal http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/

also pow, the spacing has to be standard spacing.

there's a link on that site called 'uk legal plates'. they're euro style alloy pressed plates, and are very much legal.

You can get ROAD LEGAL pressed plates from Craigs Plates. Being pressed doesn't make them illegal if they're using the correct font, spacing, reflective backing and have the makers name + postcode on.
