This is about whether we are missing Ronaldo's goals or not though so that would be a stupid thing to mention in this particular thread dont you think Marc

To date they have managed 56 goals in their first 24 Premier League games, which is significantly higher than the same stage in the previous three seasons

That doesnt mean you arent missing them.

You could be scoring multiple times this season in a games which you already have won to push those goals up, and failed to score the winning goals in a tight game, where as last season Ronaldo was scoring in those tight games as he basically created something from nothing!

If you werent missing them Id expect you to be 15pts clear at the moment as all the teams up there have dropped silly points.

We miss him as a player, he was awesome, best in the world. But we are scoring just as many as we did when he was playing, that was the point...

Yeah, but its the games those goals are being scored in which proves if you miss him or not.

Scoring a load of goals against shite teams doesnt prove it.

Not scoring in tight games and dropping points does prove it.

Wasn't it widely thought that Ronaldo 'bottled it' in big games?

Its not really the 'big' games Im on about - more the tight nitty gritty games where he would smash in a freekick or do some magic individual piece of skill and score.

while 2 points off the lead is far from shabby you do wonder if you would have walked away with it by now.

Often the matches that end up really counting for the big 3/4 are how you do against the struggling teams i.e. teams you should be walking. Its these silly losses that often kill an attach on the championship.

The argument is pretty much by the by, he wanted to go and they got 90 million or whatever for him so there wasn't much debate about him going.

Tell me about it. Also, the amount of cash being thrown around for players currently, £80m really doesn't seem like much for him.

What like the January window when every single club in the Premiership accumulitvely spent 30 million with Man United shelling out over a third of that on Smalling?
