just went out in colonel_g on here in his company 335i, all i can say is wow. what an amazing car. The noise, the brakes, the comfort, the interior , what a refined fantastic car, made my st220 feel like it was a push bike, the speed was out of this world. Drove it and could not believe how well it went

MPG was not so good , wish i was fortunate enough to own one.

yea the diesel is meant to be pretty fantastic too, this was the petrol, when you flick it into sports mode and plant it the speed is ridiculous. so much torque

yeah my dad used to have one, it was epic, I thought it was much faster acceleration than the e46 M3 and sounded better, the seats were very comfy as well, the only thing was the 19" wheels and 30 or 35 profile tyres did make the ride a tad harsh.

335d is the better car, BMW say they can't make a manual gearbox strong enough to take the torque, but it's more like fear of taking sales from the halo model in the range tbh.

JayCarr's mate runs 13 second 1/4s in one, and still gets awesome MPG.

Cracking cars.

I'm 90% sure my next car will be a 3 series. Love them. Would have to be a diesel though. Same or better performance and double the mpg

no,its a standard car, im guessing the speedo no properly calibrated to the 19"s or something. i hope i get an m5 at some point, i cant comprehend how fast it will be. ive been in some fast cars before, some with more power than this but its the way it delivers it

Dad's E46 M3 did an indicated 165mph supposed to be limited to 155mph.

335i's are very very nice - don't see many of the inbetween models i.e. 330i or 325i. Only ever 320d or 335i's.

Ive never had mine maxed out, had it up to 130odd the day before my brakes failed & then I lost confidence a bit/just havnt had the chance. The rate it gets up 130+ is pretty nice though
