Just wondering if there are any other fans of Mr Green kicking about the site? Possibly THEE best blues guitarist of his time. His music seems to tell such stories without him uttering a word. Taaaalent.

Shell my love... I saw him live a few years ago.
Shook hands with him and the rest of the band (The Splinter Group) and thanked them all for a fantastic evening.
They were so humble and gracious, they just returned our thanks for coming out and watching them.

Slash is an underrated blues guitarist. One of the best, imo. He has that slackness and feel that only lives in the blues. He's often over looked because every thinks of him as an overrated rock guitarist.
I've watched him play numerous times, but the most bluesy was at the London Guitar Show about 10+ years ago. He performed a total blues set and I had to go back the next day to see it again.
His album 'It's Five O'Clcok Somewhere' features some bluesy songs; 'Neither Can I' & 'Beggars & Hangers-On' respectively.
Peter Green is great too, one of the best blues guitarists out there, I agree.
I'm not a fan of Gary Moore.
Can't forget T-Bone Walker when discussing the blues.
Oh, and BB King with his ES-335, I'll buy one some day.

He's much better now. Saw him on a BBC4 doc recently and he was remarkable lucid.
He was still pretty much away with the fairies when I saw him though  plus his handshake was quite weak. His hand was soft and quite small and cool to the touch. Odd.

I've never had any interest in Slash.
I can't say why for sure.
It could be one, or a combination of any or all of the following four main things though...
1) He plays in a band that I can't stand and have hated since 1989 (possibly earlier).
2) He looks like a bit of a joke/parody/fool/twat.
3) He named himself after some piss.
4) He hooked up with a paedo to make a shit pop song.

Quite like a bit of Peter Green; Need Your Love so Bad and their cover of "Shake Your Money Maker" are particular favourites.
If you're into your blues, have a listen to Aynsley Lister and Joanne Shaw Taylor. Both are relatively unknow outside of the blues genre, but are both really good. Some examples;

my old college friend is an amazing blues player. he was given the guitarist of the year award, even though he was on the diploma course and there were loads of technical players in the higher diploma.
