My dog died last night 
He was 16 so it was inevatable and had been very unwell for sometime so it was his time but still doesnt prepare you for the shock and hurt

Im not sure how he died but thats the most upsetting part. He fell in our pond
breaks my heart to let him go that way.
Dont know if he simply didnt see (he was pretty much blind) and just fell in and drowned or wether he died suddenly and fell in
had him since i was 10 i can remember the first day we picked him up.
utterly heartbroken. At least hes not blind and in pain anymore. Poor little fella

Had our cat of 16 put down before christmas so know how you feel.
Sad as they are like a member of the family and I had so many childhood memoroies assosiated with it
