Ok this is my 1st project thread so here goes:

I got the car 2 years ago and it was standard apart from some corsa c alloys

then I set about starting the transformation starting with the clocks

over the next few months I added a few things:

angel eye headlights
Tinted rears / repeaters
17" TSW Volcanoes
DTM mirrors
Black sunstrip

after which I bought an ashley exhaust 4" cat back system and replaced the cat at the same time with an OEM jobbie

The car stayed like this for almost a year while I bought various audio equipment and a clifford G5 alarm with rear tints to hide/protect my system which I had trimmed in cream leather/black felt also taking the opportunity to add in some cream calibra leathers and matching gators. With the alarm I had remote start and poppers installed in the doors and bootlid ready for smoothing in the future.

pics dont show it very well but the sides are flush with the body but being trimmed in black it just looks like a floating box in the middle .... looks better in real life

and some night piccies of it lit up

audio spec as follows:
Pioneer headunit, 2 x Pioneer 3000w comp subs in custom enclosure blue/white marble effect inside with mirror base, directed monoblock and 4 ch amps, Pioneer 6x9's by the rear side windows, Pioneer 6.25 component speakers in doors, boss 8 farad powercap, 0 gauge ofc cabling with gold terminals throughout, 300 amp breaker, gold positive and silver negative battery terminals.

then my wife bought me some slabs for christmas

just needed a refurb and tyres lol

so banished to the garage I came out two days later with these

in the meantime a disgruntled neighbour seemingly pissed off with how loud my car is booted off one of my wingmirrors so a good excuse for a change

so this is how it stands now

I still have a long way to go on this project and I'm a fairly slow mover so bear with me lol.

comments/advise etc always welcome

very loud, two 3000w pioneer competition subs

only prob is the vibrations messed with me ability to breath so I had to back the amp off to about 1/3 power

Nice work, good effort.

P.s if your car is that loud no wonder your neighbour booted it off. you shouldnt have music that loud down your own road take sthe piss abit + your telling all the potential robbers were your car is parked at night

exhaust or audio? well both are easily capable of setting off car alarms (and frequently do)

yea I know it was a whim one bored morning ... it was red but has faded, I plan to go back to a de-restricted air box soon. I need to get a new bumper trim as I cut a hole in the one I have. lol

anyone know where I can get one from??

as to the mirrors I plan to cut them down by removing the posts and then smoothing the mirror into the base plate and spraying them red .... making them look more original but keeping the indicator in them so I can smooth the wings.

I know its a bit tacky at the mo but it will be much better soon

Small update today, after seeing a few on here I thought that a punto rear wiper would be a nice touch to tidy the rear up a bit until I get round to semi-smoothing it.

saw this on e-bay and couldn't resist, I'm really lovin the old skool look it has

I took out the blue ring from the centre and after a little red hammerite smooth has come out pretty good i think.

next up I'm putting the black headlights up for sale and putting the proceeds towards buying clear rear lights, repeaters & standard fronts

I've got a Nova GSI steering wheel on mine, I love it. Definitely needs lowering, if you're keeping the install maybe go lower at the front than the back to keep it level.

Decent job though, that air intake has to go!

I know what you mean mine sounded like a bag of bolts when I first put them in, but I have managed to sort most rattles by silicone sealing every bit of interior trim to the shell, door pins & sunroof are the only ones left to figure out....
