...but, whcih would you go for?
Primarily thinking of the two above, I want large touch screen and will be used purely for text and browsing, oh and the occasional drunken pic
I was swaying towards the iphone, but I saw the Storm online last night.

I am having the same dilemna mate
My renewal is due next month but like the look of both of these.
If anything, the blackberry is swaying it due to the fact everyman and his dog has an Iphone and there appears to be better deals on the Blackberry

I voted blackberry, mainly because of it's price compared to the iPhone and how useful it is to me. The iPhone doesn't have much that I like, I dislike touchscreens, the camera is just silly, it doesn't have blackberry messenger (though it does have something very similar), I like the keyboard of a blackberry.
But each to their own

Im due and upgrade in a week, going for either the Bold 2 (9700) Or the Storm 2. Im not really a huge fan of touch screen phone's just like the look of the Storm. Hmmm may annoy me tho?

I wouldn't get a Storm !!! Stay away IMO !!
If you want a touch screen phone that is not an iPhone, then i would get a HTC HD2.
It's just as easy to use as an iPhone, but it has so many more features, it's quicker, much better camera, and has a very nice large screen.
The HTC is a really good phone, and i would recommed you getting that. With it, you won't be wishing you had an iPhone !

Just swapped my storm for an iPhone. Aside from the iPhone push notifications bein shit compared to the blackberry, the iPhone wins hands down, better at everyhin else. I found browsing on the storm tedious, it's much better on the iphone

Got a blackberry storm 2 for free from vodafone with abit of complaining, had it because it was free but i think its great, the speaker gets abit funny now and again but nothing major. everything else is sweet and now with wayfinder which is good. Over all i would recommand. The Iphone is good but just buy a ipod touch which does most things and u will end up getting bord with the apps etc after 2 days

In what way? Have you used it for any length of time?
The battery life aside it is the complete mobile phone.

For browsing, iPhone wins everytime, it's so easy and quick compared tonany other handset I've tried - I found almost every Android handset to be a massive pain in the backside.

for browsing the storm can only have 1 window open. safari can do a few and has back and forward buttons which the storm lacks again.
multi touch zoom on the iphone wins again.

Just been on o2 and they're doing Blackberry 8520's free on all tariffs
Storm is free if you go on a £30 a month tariff.
Hmm!

Really, with winmo, even I'd get an iphone over an HD2, I think you meant to say HTC Desire.

You would be the only person in the entire world to have a Storm if you got one. That was that revolutionary new phone with never seen before features that was going to blow the iPhone out of the water wasn't it

Dunno. Just seems to be very cheap in comparisons.
