Twin 48 XE making 240+ is a bold claim. Will need a hell of a lot more of a write up on the engine spec. Would still give my baby organs for it though.

thing is they are. Shouldnt be....but they are.

thats had alot put into it and they are worth that! Its probs got omega pistons, lairy race cams and its been properly set-up. He has probs got roller readings to proove too from when it has been set-up...people who build these dont really need to exaggerate, as they prove themselves out on the track!

240 is likely a very real figure.

people who say its not worth it obv hasnt a cluw what they cost.

a decent atlas axle setup is best part or 3-5k, then proper quaife boxs are £2.5k+, ap brakes maybe £1k, engine if it is a genuine 240bhp to pay someone to build it your looking £7k or something.

a bare group for shell, with all the gusseting, dif, axle, gearbox, exhaust tunnels, stitch welded, 5/6linked sheels go up to £10k if proper rs log booked shell.

dpending on spec of engine thats not a too bad price.

people pay £1k for a mk1 escort rs/mex wings now!

It is worth it, rally cars go for a lot of money as the next owner will usually use it for rallying and have a good idea of the costs involved to make it.

All very nice but that engine ought to be in a Chevette/Kadet/Ascona/MK I Cavalier/Manta.

how much for wings add £600 to that and thats what it cost my mate for a mk1 and mk2 shell,

pending on atlas axle it's pretty hard to spend that amount on one, as mates sent him back £1200 thats with fitting uprated half shafts, trans x plate diff, disck conversion, and 5linking it.

It could probably have 8 turbos but it doesn't mention it having ANY of what you just said. It says it has twin 48's, and that's all. If it does have any of what you just mentioned, then it should be in the advert seeing as he wants £18k.

tbh, people who are interested are going to be ringing up not reading the ebay advert as there are far too many clueless morons, mostly on this site, that havent got a clue what things are worth, or what it takes in parts and expense to build things.

If he's got 48mm carbs on it, he's going to have to have the cams and pistons to match it all otherwise it would just run like shite.
