Bout time i put a project thread up,just got some photos developed the other day.

Started life as a 1.6 sport with a mantzel, bought it for 1500 when i was 17(1st Car) and it looked like this. . .

After a year or so later and a few different sets of wheels all different colours it ended up like this. . .

You may have seen it at total vauxhall in crail where i came 2nd in the <1800cc class 2 years on the trot.

After much money and heart ache on the 1.6 i gave up on the fucker, paint was geting scabby and i wanted more power, couldn't bring myself to sell the car as it is still a exellent shell,so i sold the 1.6 and bought a 20xe on bike carbs with an f16cr box. Purely mechanical so not a shitty sensor in sight Replaced every gasket and seal on it for safes sake, head was dipped an valves reground.bought proper chris astley shafts, hubs and mounts, strengthened the chassis, magnex 4-1 and a full cage.Oh and a full respray.Managed to get some recaros in excellent condition for it to,think there out of Escort rs turbo and sabelt 3 point harnesses.

Check my D.I.Y mount i think its about 35 photos down ha,made of 5mm instead of 3mm.Made it by eye in the fab bays at work and tig'd it up for extra strength.Could probably make a bit of lolly making these but not tig welding in the fab bays anymore

Heres the pics so far.

More to come. These are just the pics i have handy.

Almost forgot these, got them powder coated the other week, personally i think the colour is fucking sexual, cage and opel spark plug cover will be going the same colour. Pics dont really do it justice,it changes shade in the light, looks almost anodised

Glad you like them Niether was i really but the car was a steal and i've learnt to live with it,bit different too. The guys have done a great job geting it all symetrical.Front bumper was originally smoothed in and cracked every time i sorted it,wont be smoothing the front bumper on. Cheers folks, been done on a mega budget too just waited on things coming up cheap! Will defo be diff'n and camming it too.Wheels are usually 40 sheets a wheel but i work at rosyth dockyard and can get the wheels dipped and blasted for a couple packs of biscuits which is more than half of the work of the powder coating so i get them done for 20 a wheel, got a set of fanblades and steinmetz wheels to get done too so the guy struck me a kooshty deal!

Christ i cant take all the credit for this,i helped with alot of the rubbing down(which was a hoor load of graft, wrists ached for a few weeks) and filling but the bowden twins done all the painting and helped with the loom. Still to get the fuel pump mounted, choke and throttle cable too then i can get her started Glad you like the wheels lads, was originally having the whole rim that colour and the spokes black but there would have been a line where both colours met so went for the whole candy red!
