(This car has had the internals uprated)
All from courtney sport, im thinking mega £££ ..... deffo worth it though if its proven to be reliable.

Yeh just the air box, some people are agaisnt them as they can throw up error codes but they do seem a popular modification in the VXR world.
Yeh Id hate to recieve the bill of Courts for all those goodies

Why would an airbox throw up fault codes?

Beause you have to chop wires and extend them which I think messes with the MAF's readings, im not sure I know they do sometimes though.

Because people are idiots and don't do it properly.
I'm not a fan of the conversion, it looks good but I'm not messing around with what Vauxhall intended.

vauxhall never intended to be stage 2 mapped...meaning dump valves wouldnt split
i think it looks tidy conversion, shame you can get OE pipes then i would 100% have one
cant see why they have that cross over pipe tbh, just makes the route longer and more heat soak from the hot engine, the corsa vxr doesnt have one...

Extending wires wouldn't mess up anything. People's poor workmanship messes things up.

Fair enough, pics? Can't be that much difference between the 2 though surely?

what were standard vxr cross overs pulling in the torque?
as it peaks dips, then picks up again....wounder if thats due to the airbox

true in a sense. although if you erradicate all other possible heat sources from the inlet set up as good as possible, it will benefit further, ie what warren g is regulating.

i hate this homosexual "stage 5" bollocks.
So i.e an Astra Vxr with 373bhp. Thats got to be 430bhp on Regals dyno.

Extending wires wouldn't mess up anything. People's poor workmanship messes things up.
It can faff with resistances etc giving spurious readings. Same with using the Universal Lambda sensors etc
But as said, if done well, it should be Ok

they are extended by around a foot or so, any difference in resistance is going to be very small
ive had no lights on or problems with my set up at all and the only way i can see of there being a problem is if the slodering is crap or someone uses bell wire or something else really thin

Which, in reality, is likely to be the case when a few people attempt to DIY it
