There seems to be a lot of members with mountain bikes and spring is almost officially here!

Does anyone fancy a ride around swinley forest?

Basically you park up in the Look Out then go explore the 2500+ acres of forest.

How extreme is that place? Do a lot of cycling but not too much offroad, I haven't got as much of a monster bike as I imagine you guys do

Bracknell Forest is excellent - and yes, there are hills.

Simon - it's purely XC there. If you took a monster down hill bike you'd be doing a lot of walking etc. There is a mixture of everything. 20m wide fire roads to gnarly-ish single track through the trees whilst descending.

I would come along, depends when though.

Yeah but they're miles from the look out centre thing.

Better off with an all mountain bike at Bracknell, or any bike other than big DH rig tbh.

P.S. I'll be at Chicksands tomorrow.

if you park in camberley theres a really quick way to get to the 3 downhill tracks and the "gulley" its like a 2 minute cycle.
