F16 purely based on looks.
A10 would be near the top for awesome tank shredding capabilities

Nope, just always loved military aircraft.
harrier does have huge flaws, like a single turbine and 1 large scoop. any large birds = downed harrier.
But its attack capabilities are superb. By far its not the quickest or best handling, but nothing else can sit behined a ridge waiting for the enemy fto fly over the top and lock BINGO JESTERS DEAD.
Same as the F22, superb aircraft. Watched the development of this from the mid 1980's (thats how long ago it was designed!!), but its taken America that long to perfect its flying, and its still not as good as other aircraft like the Mig29, F16, F15 etc.
F14 is pure sex.
The others are the barges of the flying world. Whilst the 747 is an impressive passanger aicraft, the 225, C5 totally overshadow it. And the Hercules is just an all round reliable aircraft.

Was going to say, an SR-71 is actually quite a big plane. A lot bigger than all the fighter aircraft mentioned.
I hear Duxford has an SR-71. Think im gonna take a daytrip there this summer. Not been since I was about 8 years old.
Still got the original concord testplane too.

yes VXR duxford is awesome, went there last year, was sooooo good, so much metal there, and you can go into the hangers to see the airworthy ones being worked on, the SR-71 is a big bird , they even have a B52 there, now that is a big plane. rumour has it that XH558 will go there when her airframe time has expired.

james, the SR71 isn't small. Its bigger than a Tornado, much longer (well a few metres).
Its not a "ig" plane, but its certainly no Hawk size either.
Duxford is a good day out indeed. They had that B52 there when I was a boy. Its was the first time I saw it. Sunning plane.
Wing span is larger than the fusalage. 8 engines, mega devisation machine
