Well i spose ive got abit of a soft spot for vauxhalls and corsa's especially,
after selling my mk4 astra to move into my own place i decided i need to get another run around when this popped up on autotrader, 2 previous owners,76k,air con, electric windows etc etc
so i bought it, and decided from then on it would be kept completly standard

then somehow one way or another blythy managed to talk me into buying his coilovers, i then ordered a bonnet bra off the net to cover a scab of rust and bought some cesaros off my friend which i eventually got round to painting white and a cream leather interior off fenny this left the car looking like this

overall i was quite happy and didnt think of doing much else, until i decided to get some bits chequered, bought a show cage, stamped steel plates and fitted my centre caps

content with that or so i thought it was left tall for about three days where i ended up doing a 370 mile round trip to get a steinmetz splitter and some irmscher side skirts worth the 40 quid petrol id say
all fitted up and i was happy although the car just wasnt quick enough,

so.......on went a vxperformance powerbox and a pipercross induction kit

not forgetting my ghetto oil catch tank

home made rear strut brace with spoof company sticker lol

along with some vectra gsi prefacelift recaros.......

and my homemade side exit exhaust....all stainless i may add including decat

with santa pod lurking i wanted to make a cold air feed but thought just removing your headligh looks gash so "The Pod Light" was created

went to pod burnt some rubber and ran crap times lol

then on the way home it was decided to do a engine transplant and give the corsa some power
engine block all painted up, later on i cleaned the faces

me and fenny started removing bits of my corsa in my garage and eventually got the engine out and my girfriend cracked on and painted some bits for me

passenger side inner arch cleaned and painted

cross member cleaned and painted

engine on its way out

engine out.......

coilovers cleaned and painted

header tank soacked in bleach, damn sight cleaner than it was

Well today has had its ups and downs, i went to fennys with all intentions of stripping another head off of a omega to find out thehead on the rear bank was more f***ed than mine, which made the last hour of stripping it off in the rain a complete f***ing waste,

but low and behold fennys friend said he would get it welded and machined for me along with my 5 stud hubs, so although today started on a low it looks like its finished on a plus point, i have two pics but they dont really show much although here are some pictures of my front cross memeber painted, and a few other bits ive collected

my exhaust system doodles lol

warlbro fuel pump, underdrive bottom pulley and oil cooler blanking plate so i can use a remote oil cooler

front cross member all painted

and thats about that lol

right well no major updates as ive been working alot and not had loads of time, but now im on a fortnight of nights so should have a little progress,

so heres how the arches are looking, nice and shiny clean hopefully should be getting some braided hoses to go in there at some point

ive decided i wanted to use the original corsa header tank but due to where the inlet manifold sits it would have to be moved over , so i got the angle grinder out and got the battery tray removed as well as cutting through a brake pipe and catching the inner wing bugger lol, never mind

got handy with a paint brush again, got my bottom arms painted and got some polybush's off browney, cheers mate

one of my engine mounts in place,

30mm front anti roll bar and polybushed tca's once again thanks to browney

and a worktop of new shiny bits, eccentric top mounts and sard pressure regulater are the new aditions to the pile that my gf is getting fed up with lol

so today im popping over to fennys to drop his lights off then im going to crack into abit more painting of the underside

Well as some of you would know ive been plodding along slowly building a v6 track corsa,

well today i had the shell stickered up, the shell is now nearlly 80% complete ready for the engine

heres some crappy pics to keep you entertained

well like i said crappy pics but more will be revieled soon

Well fuck me it saw daylight today first time in 5 months

and i forgot to take pics but heres some general pics of other jobs of been doing to it,

il let the pics do the talking but now its on 4 wheels and ready to go to fenny towers for its engine

bit of weight saving plus its easiest way to remove the window lol

bit of sealant for the last window

MESS!

So proud of this as i painted it myself, really chuffed

mine and the mrs names

garage all packed away and corsa nearlly ready to plod off to fenny towers, once my front brakes turn up

Dragged the poor thing out of the garage today and gave her a clean,

had some chequers left over from stickering the car up so put them on my strutbrace

all ready for my engine now

Update time

Got a phone call last week off mr fenn asking if i was still after a set of bbs rx's, after abit of umming and arging i decided i definatly still wanted a set, so after a few facebook messages and a couple of texts me and mr fenn set off to birmingham one evening

cheers Al well chuffed with my purchase

one against the car, the plan is new tyres and a fresh blast of a nice bright white

after realising that my glove box would be un usable due to my rollcage getting in the way, so i cut up a little sheet of carbon fibre and mounted my fire extinguisher to it

also found another litttle problem id cause, because id mounted my calibra oil and volt gauges to the centre console i had to relocate the hazard light switch it true ghetto fashion

then dragged the corsa onto the road ready to be transported to mr fenn's workshop

getting loaded up and on the way to have its heart transplant getting excited now

and in its new home until its running

cant wait now should be more updates really soon

not a great deal today but then sundays arnt meant for working hard lol,

popped down to fennys to drop a headgaskit off for my girlfriends sisters corsa(what headaches that has caused! lol ) and was greated by my engine sitting infront of my car so took a sneaky pic

then took some bits and bobs to browneys to be shot blasted sadley his blaster wasnt man enough for vauxhalls orignal powder coat but luckily he has a friend who will be doing them and my bbs's this week for me so everything will be coming back earing a nice fresh coat of white

as you can see the top rocker cover is nice and shot blasted where as the bottom one is minging lol

and the other bits that need doing

should have plenty of updates this week

Time for another update well spent the friday afternoon down fennys and we got a little bit done,

a update i forgot was i fitted my spax rsx front coilovers with 400lb front springs and concentric top mounts

the engine has now got its mounts fitted which was the easy part, me and fenny the started swapping some coolant hoses etc over from a doner engine, again nice and easy which brought us to a bit of a dead end as i need to pull my finger out and get bits and bobs painted, so heres's where we got to

a problem we discovered was because the limited clearence in a corsa you have to use another front cast manifold, little did we know these dont fit with out trimming the tensioner.....like so

loads of room now

next on the list of to do's was the exhaust downpipe, i left this in fennys hands as my welding is attroucious lmao
as you can see its miles out now we are using two cast manifolds..

out comes the angle grinder....

then the welder

a bit more welding

and abit more grinding

and a new flexi.....

and we was left with this

and thats where it was left the other day,

due to funds being lower than originally expected i have opted to paint my engine bits instead of powder coating them soo heres so aerosol goodness

i chose to paint my rockers ford signal yellow and the plenums arden blue with lots of lacquer well chuffed with the out come

as you can see from this pic i also painted one of my rx's

bastard bugs!

also ordered all my silcone hoses from roose finished in yellow, gaz rear coilovers, new ht leads, coolant temp sensor, tyres for the bbs rx's,isolotator switch and new front discs,

will be another update tomorrow

Very nice.

Can you do me a favour please. Can you measure the length of the gaz shock. I want the measurement from the bit where the seal sits for the shock shaft to the centre of the bolt hole where it bolts to the beam. Cheers

Well time for a very very big update.......

Got all my bbs's painted now, may not be to everyones tastes but i love them

and the finished article up close

thenn finally the engine came off it stand and fenny went ahead and fitted the flat type xe flywheel,4 paddle helix clutch and f18 gearbox

fenny knocked up some little egr blanking plates for the rear manifold

engine and box in the air

right now here is where fenny had some trouble all the time we attempted to mount it he could never get all 3 mounts to line up, FUCK IT.....

not much room here

or here....as you can see i was informed from various threads that the cast manifold works on the rear....FAIL

this picture is of the rear gearbox mount on as you can see everything is super close now..............

so after fenny getting various amounts of advice from specky the rear manifold was removed and the engine was mounted on all three mounts  so i fannied around and fitted my plenums and new roose hoses

as you can see i am really excited, off to speckys on firday with browney and fenny so he can have a bash at my rear manifold and downpipe then hopefully we will be onto the wiring and plumbing the coolant system in

heres a few more minor updates lol

got my centre consol all finished and painted it in some car plan wrinkle paint, finish is quite good, im well chuffed with it considering i cut tree's down for a living not fibreglass lol

hopefully more updates in the week
