had my first car now for about 4 months

1.6 corsa sport

all good.. done nothing to it mod wise

Reason I aint modding it is because its little things like.. rust on bonnet... cracked front and rear bumper... dent in door (sill) and nearlly hit 100,000 miles

I want to buy another corsa (1.6 Sport) that is 'clean' so I can start to mod it. (Euro style)

I should get around £800 for mine.

I have another part time job now, earning around £900 a month, so should take me about 2 months to save up

spend about £1500 on a clean corsa

What you think?

cant really think of any reasons not to sell mine and by another.

Sounds like a sensible enough plan not to throw money at a car that needs a fair bit of work.

imho if thats the only problems with the car, it is less hassle to sort it out... bumpers gonna be max 25 each from scrapyard... a tidy bonnet 30-400 quid plus 100 to paint it, get some side skirts to hide the dent and you are sorted.....

I thought you paid something like £500 for yours, how is it now worth £800?

If you can save 600ish per month, do it for a year, get a nice car for 6k, and go on holiday.

Needs more than that, it's right up to to the door slam. Plus side skirts and fitting won't be cheap.

I would put the old one on Ebay at 99p and see what happens. Then when you've sold it, work out how much more money you have and buy another one.

Or just save up now for a bit and when you have a grand, then sell the Sport as above.

Aye it will take a hell of a lot more than skirts It's quite a horrendous bash and I'll stand by what I said, you'll get nowhere NEAR £800 for it. Maybe the £500 you paid...Maybe.

Might struggle to find a buyer willing to give you what you want for it with the things you've mentioned.

Out of interest how many hours a week do you work ? Because I can't imagine BK paying more than £6 an hour and for £200 a week thats 33.3 hours. Hardly part time
