Both bullshit statements.
I fell in love young (15) and had my heart broken at a young age, it taught me a lot about life but at the same time I wish I had never fallen in love that young and when I met the 2nd love of my life it would have all been brand new and I could have appreciated it a lot more.
3rd time falling in love gets even more difficult as it takes longer to accept you love that person as you never expected to manage to find someone again after 2 failed attempts.

Bloody hell Olly, a sensible post, and one I can very much relate to.
1st, got dumped, broke my heart
2nd, i done the dumping, think I broke her heart
3rd, well after 10 years, we're getting married.
Should I not have had the 1st two (these were the serious ones) relationships, i've got no doubt i'd have married earlier, but knocked me back (even the 2nd one when I done the dumping, go figure that one??? ) and changed my view on things.
Still, hopefulyl won't ever have to worry about all that dating sh1te ever again. My god its such an effort

A lot of my friends are shacked up with their first loves who they met when they were at an older age (late teens early twentys) it took me 3 attempts and lots of shit before I managed to realise what I had and not to take it for granted.
I still blame the first one for the way I turned out, that ruined me for years and years. I never took anything seriously after that.
