Hi Peeps,

I have heard of quite a few thefts of catalytic converters around Essex/Kent mainly on vans and jeep type vehicles (basically ones you dont need to jack up to get under.) They are using pipe cutters to make the least amount of noise possible. Just thought I would post this up to make people aware.

Been going on for years round my way, know the lads doing it. (same ones that got you your bike 3CorsaMeal )

Same ones getting up on old garage blocks ripping out the lead from the roof and going into new empty houses and ripping out the brand new boiler systems to weigh in.

If they want it they will have it. If it means they have to rip your skirt off to get a jack under it they aint going to worry.

Scrap is high at the moment so stuff goes missing badly. building site I am on at the moment has just had all the lead flashing stolen but best of all, they are ripping our copper tubing out, and its usually the gas which is live.
