Van is going once I put it back to standard, want a nice derv to get about in. About 10k to spend, can strech a few k more if needed.

Options ? Top choise atm are astra 1.9 sporthatch and a small bit of love for corsa 1.7 but there are only a few for sale

I like the audi's and golf's too

But when you weigh up the kit you get on a 888 it's better.

I've been having thoughts about a 888 too.

I had one, would trounce the shonky 1.9 CDTi Astra/Vectras with ease, handled very well, responsive to tuning.

Built on the Mk5 Golf Chassis - same as the A3 & Leon too in that respect.
