could put the sub into the spare wheel well, so there would be no need for a box

Unless its a free air sub, it should really be in a box of the right volume to get the best sound out of it.

best off building a box with the right volume for the sub, this will most likely mean it will end up sitting higher than the floor of the corsa ....
the other problem is most high power subs sound rubbish unless you have something between it and you (like seats and a parcel shelf) to stop the distortion getting to your ears.
that being said in my experience vibe subs have good sound quality but are not as loud as other good makes.
what are you going for with your build??

sounds good but i would recommend building a box on the underneath of the false floor to fit into your wheel well and seal it properly with silicone or something similar to get the best sound.
Take a look at shallow mount subs as I think they will be your best bet .....

the shallow mount sub I linked will run in a box as little as 1/2 a cubic foot up to 1 cubic foot
meaning that if its 14 x 14 inches square then it can be between 4 and 8 inches deep
just make sure its properly sealed, as air leaks mean crap sound

I run all Pioneer speakers in my system and they have always been very good for the money, easily giving much higher powered and more expensive subs a hard time
I have not experienced those speakers myself but have heard good things about them.
That amp won't run a sub and two components, you should be looking for a 4 channel jobbie for an all in one solution although a mono block for the sub and a small 2 channel would suit you better.
look for a 400w mono and something like 50-60w x 2 for your door speakers (all RMS not max power )

amps are a very personal choice as it all comes down to budget and looks, if its an install you are planning to keep for a while then its always nice to have things by the same manufacturer as it looks a lot neater.
you will need two amps as I said previously so just have a look about for a style that you like then see if they make two amps in that range that suit your requirements and are within your budget
I would try to stick with a good name brand, as your system will only ever be as good as the amps running it.
I am sure that other brands make shallow mount subs, If you don't fancy a pioneer one
