What car would you recommend as a decent track/road compromise. For a 22 year old with 3 years no claims, and up to £5.5k to spend? Im just weighing up my options at the moment...

Just been looking at CTRs, not really into them. As for M3s, Fad put me off them last time when he told me how much they generally cost to maintain.

Ive already got a track car, and spare cash if I ding it, hence having money to take it racing. As well as a golf gti daily. I was just wondering what I could get the would be newer, quicker, more desirable, more fun, should I decide to have just one car.

I'd go for an E30 M325i. Won't be as much to maintain as the M3 I'd imagine!
