Well what it is... my girlfriends mate told her last night that her boyfriend (asian) is paying his mate's £500 ago to ride into the back of him to claim through insurance and injury etc. and the bit what really wound me up was rachel (birds mate) has got a claim going through where she has claimed for whiplash when she wasn't even in the car and even having physio when she wasn't even in the car when his mate ran into him
i find it absolutely disgusting how anyone could do that, and it gets worse they guy paid someone to do his theory and has not got a full licence and is currently on trial at leeds crown court for 7 counts of fraud and false identity!
do u think its worth going to my local police station and inform them about it all!

Yes. Shop the lot of them in. This is why insurance prices are so high. Because for every genuine claim there seems to be one non-genuine. Just make sure theyve done more than two claims recently otherwise they cant really prove anything.

I'm sure I saw something about this kind of scam on Watchdog or similar recently? Some Asian guy runs a company (how they can make it legit I don't know) where you pay them x amount and give them your car, they get someone to smash into it and submit false claims etc.

Shop them. I would have done it myself by reporting this thread if it were not full of references to their race. I would guess the Police will take a dim view of that.
I personally don't consider it racism but it is of questionable pertinence to the story.
If you want it to stick and you don't mind shopping them properly, get proper evidence. It won't proceed just because you got mad enough to write on the internet about it. A prosecution would need better information than that.
