Any good? Found someone selling them for the Puma.
He wants £800 for the coilovers and a Piper full exhaust plus manifold.
The stuff is fairly new but I'm not sure it's the best deal?

The gold coilovers are that money new so in essence getting a free exhaust and a piper with exhaust manifold depending on cat replacement your looking at similar money again

yes they are deffo a few steps up, but IMO you wont see any justifiable gains, especially on the puma chassis for the extra cash

TBH I wouldn't waste your money Ian, if you saw and felt how well Steves handles on the AP's I think you would be sold on them.

The Gaz Golds are highly rated over on png, they get a discount with them too.
All depends what you want from them, do you want to fine tune them to each track you visit or just set them and leave them.

i just think for the road you wont c a big advantage but on track handling will be much improved with being able to stiffen things up and adjust them!

im talking with regards to my experiences on the ring with them, also compared to willays astra with dampening settings the differences are negligable, certainly not 400 quids worth of difference

Mine are the 400 quid jobbies, and do height and damper adjustment. Dont think you've been out in the astra to compare?

Ask mr JR next time you speak to him, sure he said something when he was in mine.
That will be a better opinion as he has been in both lol

Do what now?
I don't see the point wasting £400 more on some coilovers that Ian won't see the benefit from? That is the point Steve is getting at.

in, get the cheaper Gaz set up, the aps with fixed rate dampning wont allow you to compensate for the lighter car you have, and also, with gaz beeing in the uk the set up and rebuild knowledge, plus the abilty to spec the springs when you buy them (ask someone like lee303 or similar for rates ) means your have a far better and adjustable car
