£200 for a fan is still a bit excessive. Those airblade hand driers cost a mint and they've revolutionised nothing. I'll bookmark my post and come back to it in 10 years when every fan in the world is using Dyson technology though

I agree on both those points but if you're buying hand driers for a bathroom fit-out are you going to go for a cheap as chips hand drier that you can buy from any number of manufacturers or go for a dyson? Same as the fans I can't see the benefit outweighing the costs.
If you can't get the idea off the ground you're going to have difficulty revolutionising anything. The vacuum cleaners worked a treat. Prior to that I remember the paper bags of shit you used to get but the trouble is everyone else has stepped up and while they may not all be dual-cyclone(tm) technology they do the job.

The airblades are brilliant. I agree with James, they are much better at drying your hands than a normal hand dryer!
£200 for a fan is a piss take!

i had a play with one in comet, both the 12'' and 10''
they are brilliant. it's actually cool air unlike fans that just chop up warm air.
expensive but hopefully it'll mean others folow the same trend like they did with bagless hoover's.

i beg to differ. i remember having a shitty old fan in my old house, the circular ones with the cages on.
used to get dusty and shitty and i was always worried my little brother or sister would put their fingers through the cage.

Don't know about you but I've seen airblades is loads of places. To say they haven't take off just because you haven't seen them is a bit stupid tbh.
I agree they're not going to stick them in the toilets at your local, but go to a lot of decent restaurants now and they've got them. Even the uni I do my distance course with has them.

I've seen a few and I think they're a great product. I'm saying that this wont necessarily mean airblades everywhere but may just drive manufacturers to innovate/copy/improve. Same with innovations in any other industry.

We have them at work, they are noisey as fook and you get covered in other peoples piss/hand water if you walk past whilst its in use

The electrical teams at my work use the Airblade quite a bit, sometimes the architects want it but sometimes we specify it ourselves. I had to find out recently the noise level of one because we needed to know how loud the fire alarm needed to be as it has to be 5dB higher than the loudest thing in the room. The Airblade is 84dB so if that's not running and you're sat on the throne when the alarm goes off, you're going to hit the ceiling
