Buying a full set of tyres for my car as it's going in for an mot check tomorrow and know that it needs new tyres all round. The car in question is an XE corsa, would like to hear reviews from those who have had different tyres on there XE and what they were like. I'm swinging towards Toyo Proxy T1R as there getting good reviews and quite reasonably priced but if anyone knows different then let us know.

genrally id always say get the best tyre you can afford .. toyos are ok if on a budget but for alittle more id get something like goodyears or if your really splashing out go for michelins. if it was a 1ltr id say put anything on  but as its not get the best you can

i had Toyos on my Calibra, lasted about 5minutes and werent anything special tbh.
Would help if you included the size

my toyos have lasted fairly well that includes all that action at the ring this year, then again my car dont really weigh much

Maxxis MA-Z1. Cheap tyre but i cant recommend them highly enough. They grip well in the wet and dry and wear brilliantly. I paid £192 for a set of 4 aswell!

Tyre size would be 195/45/15. Don't really want to be paying over the odds as it will be the first proper outing i'll of had int he car since built and not meaning to sound chavy but as you can apprieciate there will be some Maccy D car park loonacy.

I have Pirelli P7s on my golf, lasted a long time, and are reasonable. I hear Goodyear eagles are excellent but wear quickly

Probably just going to go with the toyos this time round. Can't really complain if they wear fast when there £45 each. Moved alot closer to my work aswell so not traveling daft miles so should be ok.

yoko s drive over toyo for same cash. Falken are good for price.

I have t1r's at the mo and they do wear quite abit, but performace wise i love them! if you want them cheap look on ebay for 195/50/15, i'm sure i've seen them on there stupidly cheap!! they do 45 profile too but its not far under double the price of 50 profile

Toyos are shit imo, I had them on my old XE corsa and they're a very soft compound.
Falken 912's are a much better tyre and great value.

most people prefer different tyres for different reasons. If you want toyo get them. I would rather spend more and get f1. Personally i would always pick a yoko over a toyo. Toyo are more budget tyre.

I've always rated Toyos, they're a budget F1. Lots of grip in the summer
I'm running Eagle F1's at the moment.

I was gonna suggest the Khumos, I could get 4th gear wheel spin in the wet with the pervious nankangs, the Khumos are spot on, only spints upto 3rd now

i find car spin a lot more on 45 profile compared to 50. Infact its nowhere near as comfy and i would say has less grip in corners.

im using toyo proxi 4's on my corsa and ive been well impressed with the ammount of grip
