A mate of mine popped over today and hes had his Mk2 2009 RS for a while but today was the first time I went in it. Never really thought a great deal about them to be honest but jesus christ, they're fokin awsome.
We had a blast against an Evo FQ360 and there was nothing in it. Even in the bends this RS was killing it. I was gobsmacked as like most people, I thought Evo's were pretty much unbeatable
Let me have a go in it too. Drove it for a good 20mins and loved it. So so responsive and not an ounce of torque steer. Couldnt beleive how well it handled and gripped. Very very impressed and made my night

I will now await the obligatory "Needs 4WD" or "Evo wasn't trying" response

Something definately isnt right there then, considering your car compared to an RS, no offence, but the 2 cars can't be compared performance wise. One is far superior to the other.

the same can be said about a 270bhp astra vxr with quaife lsd and a ford puma with 4 pots

its not all about fancy knuckles and power

broster has also said that the handling is quite dull in standard guise, and hes every right to defend them as jamsport have there one which they run, im led to believe that particular one is special though

No offence but for a car ot be significantly faster than another the difference has to be HUGE in power/weight otherwise its all very similar on the road.
Please go on youtube and see the Clio 200 vs Focus RS, it may have 300bhp but its also huge and heavy.

Marketing team seemed to have done very well

I can understand about the Clio due to power/weight and the way they handle straight out of the box.

I love them.
I had a shot of my dads a few weeks ago, and after driving it properly for 5 mins, i felt as if i knew exactly where the limit was. Handles brilliantly, and its so intuitive.

Really looking forward to my dad getting his other one
