whats the deal on here lately? everyone just slates everything and anything corsa related?

if someone joins up and wants to do some alterations to their car, people say dont both save up and buy something else. why not let them do what they want?

some people need to remember where they started out in cars. this is a site about corsas. the stand won best stand at pvs featuring only, some might find this hard to grasp, corsas.

a lot of people do like the little gm shopping trolley and people do make some amazing cars.

why do all the people that dont like them feel its their duty to slag them off all the time?

thanks.

I'm thinking of getting another Corsa next, although that won't be for a couple of years at least, they're still pretty good cars.
Only got ridda my Corsa coz it was a 12v and wanted something faster with some toys.

Ive not slagged any for a while now.

I had my corsa about 8yrs ago, havnt really had an interest in them since getting shot but think theres a good crack on here warranting my stay & I still remember enough from my cosra days to have some constructive input now & then.

If people used to have one then good on you. but people signing up that don't have one or has never thought of owning one. And Slags them of. Just puts me off the site and I don't want that.

If you only had corsa owners on here it would be absolutelly dead!! Is that what you want??

Most of the complainers I see have only been on here a few years, some of the guys that have moved to other cars have been on here 10yrs+ & probably owned a corsa before you could ride a bike!!

It only used to be corsa owners.

Just many have moved on and see the light

I still have a soft spot for them Great A-B cars, but really, they arn't very good basis. The are novice cars, granny cars, mum cars of the early n00ghtys.

Doesn't mean that we hate them though. I don't.

Yes I see your point they may of gad one and been here for a long time but no need at all to slate them. It's just pointless no one wants to here it. Putting down someones pride and joy is not very nice. That's all I'm saying really. Just on general chat right now on 1st page I can count like 10 topics not even to do with a vauxhall.

TBH, I know it's not aimed at me but Corsas are shit. So are Metros, so are Renault 5 Turbos.

You can be aware of a cars failings and be honest about it without being a hater, likewise, you can buy other cars without wanting every Corsa ever made banished to some fucking strange land, like Wales for example.

A Corsa is a shopping car for grannies or a second car for families so that the empty can drop the kids of at school instead of walking. They aren't fast, they don't handle amazingly, they aren't as good looking as other cars in their class, they aren't well made, they aren't even resistant to rust. Infact, they excel at nothing other than being the weapon of choice for chavs.

I still like them though but being honest, there are better cars out there.

That doesn't make me a hater, it makes me honest.

A car that does everything perfectly usually isn't that fun.

I liek the corsa being quite raw, simple, no aids, just you, engine, chassis, 4 wheels and an engine (ish).

Converted ones are silly, bad handling, torque steary...

But that makes it epic fun A car being all over the place. You can have more fun in a Corsa with it scrabbling for grip at 50mph, than say a Merc doing 150 like its not even breaking a sweat...

ive got to the point wih my corsa that ive put that much work into i dont really see it like a lot of my mates do, to them its a shitty corsa but to me its a lot of time, money and effort, im sure im not alone when i sometimes wish id spent the time doing something better up (like a manta b coupe ) but ive gained a lot of knowledge through doing it and generally like them, theres worse little cars out there for sure!- there are better cars i can agree, luckily most people on here can appreciate something for the effort and time thats gone into it without just labeling it as a chav wagon..the corsas time will come, i remember when i had a mustard yellow nova sr and everybody flamed it...those same people at a show would now say its cool...

I agree on that.

What do you think of a converted corsa at say, 6.5k for fun?

i am not saying its the best car. i am just saying for this being a corsa site, all that ever happens in general chat is corsas get slagged off every thread. i smashed a 911 turbo in a driveway built car a 10th of the cost. everyone just ripped the piss and slated corsas again.
