Ive never really classified it as much of a hobby of mine but some people generally regard urban exploration as something along those lines. Id have to say that behind my passion for cars and motorsport. Exploration has to come a close second.
What a few years ago started off as a few friends and I checking out our local spots from 28 days later. Escalated into something which we now regularly partake in. I used to take my camera to these places but as with everything find I enjoy the whole experience generally when I can just take it all in. I suppose for that reason its not something I ever post about or have much to share.
On reflection though, im stuggling to list literally all the abandoned places ive visited as there have now been so many.
The last place we visited was definitely one of the most unique place ive explored. Following our day at Duxford Flying legends air show we went on an abandoned Kuwait airlines Boeing 747, this one specifically...
One of my friends only took a couple of 'role-play' type pics, this is probably the best
Some guy on 28dl has been in and taken pics though... http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=51701&highlight=
Im just wondering where the best place you might have explored may be? I recall Graham88s story of being caught in Buckmore Park leisure center and being accused of organising a rave Any stories?

I'm not in to all that but I go to this place regulally to walk my dog, really interesting place. I wouldnt like to go at night though as the place is supposedly haunted.

That's pretty cool.
If you got a picky copper, he'd get you done on breaking and entering though, this is what puts me off, you only need one person there to see you, and you could have a criminal record from it.
I've never done a proper urbex, did penmorfa in Llandudno before the rest of it was demolished...

Not been there long Ian. Its only a matter of time though.
Flying legends was awesome Jambo, never seen so many spitfires in one place. Im looking at going to Farnborough airshow next. Vulcan, B52, Airbux A380 and announced this morning - Boeing 787 will be making its debut.

I haven't done anywhere decent since, being caught was quite scary and that place set the level quite high for my first place so anywhere else has been lame in comparism.

Hmmm, might have to try and find blue lagoon in Buxton then, nice way to spend a day out!
Been to a few places round Derby, they've been really delapidated though, so not really any decent pics.
The Great Northern Railway building, and Willington power station. Can't think of anywhere else, would like to do more though

Blue Lagoon looks nothing like that anymore, full of rubbish and chavs. It was better left 'unexplored'.

I have done one or two really into it, dont always take my camera some times I just like to go and explore without worrying about trying to get pictures.
A few I have done
Stanton Ironworks (without doubt the best I did, unfortunately demolished now)
Clipstone colliery, not got to climb the tower things yet.
Middelton mine, will be going again soon, this place is soo huge its unbelievable.
Annesly hall, well parts of it shall be returning again soon.
Ambergate wireworks, pretty boring TBH
Ambergate mansion, abandoned very dangerous and too many spiders for my liking
Willington power station, pretty empty now, and very nearly got caught by security.
