Did you see the EFA with the 4 paveway LGBs and 3 drop tanks doing a display? That's one of the development ones from my hangar in work.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I got my tickets a while ago but would have thought you can still get them on gate?

No gate admissions apparently. All had to be done in advance.

sounds like airshows used to be 10 - 15 years ago, not the watered down shit you seem to get all the time now.

I have worked with fast jets for 11 years, All front line squadrons. Been to Red Flag, Green Flag, Air warrior etc. I've had a jolly in a Harrier T10 for my 22nd birthday.
Yet there is still something magical about an airshow.

awe inspiring. I was so happy they gave the Lancaster some stick. Poor kite must have been needing to stretch her wings for years always doing low throttle fly bys for the memorial flight! She was centre stage this time
Lancaster ftw

I've seen and heard all sorts of jets this week being between Fairford and Farnborough, I heard something tremendous fly over Thursday ran outside to see a F-15 doing a sharp turn over my house and heading towards Farnborough.
