he has no driving licence? or he had no driving liecence to show at the scene. if no licence at all, cant see him getting his car back or doing to well at staying away from a ban.stupid realy had a few mates do it,live and learn. if a mate will insure the car he can pay the fees and a mate can drive it home.normally.

so he has no licence just a provisional ??
he will get a ban etc,but if he has 11 points from same offences he could get worse. only way to get the car out of the compound is to get somone to insure it who is all legal

Okay so he got 11 points on his provisional..
By law if you get 6 points on your license within the first 2 years of driving you lose your license.. I'm guessing that's what's happened? The insurance is invalid straight away. So he'll probs get 3 years ban maybe a fee to pay, and car could be crushed if no-one else claims it. (I think?)

you dont need to have a full driving license to get insured on a car, how do you think most people in there own car with l plates up do it? can insure a car no problem without a full license, and as long as someone who has been driving at least 3 years or more, can sit next to you and be fully safe to drive

Yes, obviously but read the first post. He had his car taken off him, they wouldnt do that if he was with a qualified driver. Clearly he wasnt.

i get the point where obviously he didnt have another driver with him, but he could easily still be insured to drive it, so technicly all he will get done with is no license

but surely as it's invalid without a full license holder in the pass seat, surely then it counts as no insurance? Insurance wouldn't pay out if he had an accident as he hadn't complied with the conditions of being a provisional license holder
