I've just got my THIRD bloody one and it seems fucked as well, they all (fully charged) have no torque, I can stop the motor turning with my hand, then it just makes the impact noise, defo not 325lb/f. Have I missed something? is there a different way to use them than other ones?

I'm actually beginning to think i'm somehow using it wrong, but its just an impact wrench ...., put over bolt > press trigger > bolt comes out.

The 18v snap-on one I have is better than the 24v sealy ones we have at work.

Everything is shite compared to snap-on though
I've used a snap-on one and it was unbelieveably good, had a bolt that wouldn't undo, I had a massive breaker bar and i was jumping on it and it still wouldn't undo...snap-on wrench "bzz" off me

ive got the 19v one and its spot on for the price, i just take the wee metal screw on the left out now and then and put some grease in and its been great

also if your using it on tight bolts and its just clicking away then your just roasting it and theyre a bit too cheap for stuff like that, crack them off with a bar first then use the gun to run them out

Unless they are actually that useless that they can be stopped by hand. maybe i've got super power hands I don't know.
The most torqued bolt would probably be 120-150lb/f, should handle that.

should do that just fine, fuck knows why your going through so many of them then, mine gets pretty abused and other than than the ocasional overheating its never been any bother

ahh dunno then, send it back and get a new one again or just get your money back, or there is a new one out and on offer this month but at £250 i would rather pay the extra for a snap-on one at that point

I was looking at that there 400lb/f one with variable torque, "enough to remove the most stubborn wheel bolt" What wheel bolt would be 400lb/f?
But the guy phoned and said he would send another, fook spending £400 on a snap-on one though.

right i've got my 4th one and its the same, I think maybe the socket is slipping, but this seems impossible and my sockets worked fine on a snap-on one.
The seller is getting angry sending out these, but i've asked for a refund and he says they all got to 325lb/f on his testing machine mmm fuck knows.

what are you actually using it on though, are you using impact sockets or 12 points, most of the people in my last place were using them every day on heavy plant and only two have broke and that was out of sheer abuse

somehow 4 guns arent going to have the same problem

They are sealey reconditioned ones, as i'm cheap, i'm using normal sockets not hardened ones, didn't think it mattered as i've used a snap-on one with the same sockets.

Shouldn't matter as 1/2 an inch drive is 1/2 an inch, it seems impossible to spin a square in a square but i'm getting paranoid thats the case, but looking at it, it doesn't seem to.

what? i meant the socket spinning on the bolt, but you would notice that hopefully


if your in glasgow at all (dunno if you work mobile) then let me know and i can have a look and a comparison to my one and if it is faulty then take a video of mines working and yours not, that should be all the proof you need
