It to be before you hear back from a car dealer whether you have been approved for finance?

Ive been told at vauxhall one day but various other people have said upto 10 days.

Ive had a look at my credit rating online today and there has been no intrest from GMAC (the Vauxhall credit people)

So how long would you expect it to be as i have a funny feeling the sales man really wasnt taking me seriously

Any help would be good

if your young and don't have any history or you have bad history they will take longer as they will have to look into you abit more, But you might get asked for a guarantor

In my experience its usually an hour or two at the very most if its a nice straight forward one. Its depends on the broker really but I've never known it to be 10 days though Mind you, if they have to try a few companies to get you accepted it will take longer. Chase up the salesman mate

Have a look at bank loans might be cheaper to pay off each month for you if that's anything bothering you?

Edit: Unless he fobbed you off with that excuse because he though you were fucking around?

Its not the amount or anything mate ive got about 6k saved up for a new car so i wanted to get the new Corsa D on a lease hold for 3yrs.

It works out £610 deposit and £210 a month which i can afford even though i only work part time and take home about £600 per month which gives me enough to pay for it for 28 months out of the 36 at the moment.

He asked me if i wanted to buy it and he was insistant i take it over 5 years on 0% finance which i didnt want.

I told him i could even put 2-3k deposit down if there where any issues and i got a look to say "yea course you can" but without him physically saying it
