That I never thought i'd witness...

I've just got back from my bike ride and there was one steep down hill bit, so I thought i'd try and see how fast I could go Anyway, I got to 32mph

When I was at the bottom I realised there was a car behind me, didn't think much of it until I heard the mother fucking SIRENS come on from a police car I shit myself that much I got torque steer. I pulled over and slowed down a bit, but he stayed behind me?

So I looked behind me and he's pointing at me to pull over

So I did, he got out and said ''do you realise how fast you were going then?'' So I said ''yeh, 32mph. Why?'' with a rather confused look on my face...

''DO YOU REALISE THIS IS A 30MPH AREA?''

WTF?!

He then proceed to check around my bike! I thought he was going to get the thread depth gauge out to check I had 1.6mm!

I mean, what is this world coming to?! Thought I'd share!

lol, Ive heard of this before.
A serious lesson for the future though, when they ask if you know how fast your going, it usually means they have no evidence and expect you to drop yourself in it............ so the answer is always the speed limit.

my ex's dad had the same thing. the cops were sound with him though. they only stopped him to say they had never seen anyone go that fast on a bike.

I dont get cyclists sometimes..

You all moan about being treated the same as road users..then do everything in your power to break the rules, go through red lights and jump onto pavements.

So when you are going over the speed limit on a road..why does that make it ok because you are on on a bike?
