Going to be chopping in the Vixxer pretty soon.

Really tempted by one of these...

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1884970.htm

Any experience of them or views/opinions?

Not a great description on that ad but they come fully loaded in TI spec.

Isn't there someone on here who works for Alfa???

I like the 159 TI to look at but have no idea about how they drive. I quite like the tan leather you can get

Think I prefer the estate too

Would have to be under warranty though, the reliability stories would put me off too much to have one older than 3 years

159's drive well, drove a couple whilst i worked at Alfa

2.2's are eating chains though, we replaced loads, racks were another one along with top arms and tyres wearing due to camber

1.9's are pretty bomb proof tbh, egr is the only main problem, 159 is a bit heavy for the 1.9 though, 2.4 would be my choice

They're a nice place to be, red mood lighting, funky dials, comfy leather seats

Alfa come with 3 years warranty, last year steps down a stage though to something like extended warranty

might even be 250bhp from what i remember, they get even better with a tuning box

just have to watch out for the dpf, if your doing lots of stop start it will clog up, they need a good blast down the motorway to clean the crap out the filter

I like those 156's, nice looking car inside and out. As long as the warranty is good, it's a winner.
