You know people get sad when they sell cars, well I'm sad because I took this one to bits. It's taken a major back seat between the wagon and the Puma, still needs a little more work to strip it down then it needs booking in for respray prep but I'm not clear what needs doing or by who. Might be a while before it see the road again

What makes that photo even more sad is that it's still in the same place in the garage, just actually a bare shell now.

It looks stunning in that pic, just think of how much better it will be when it all goes back together.

Yeah the pic doesn't show the imperfect bits of respray or the engine smoke but even so, looks boss in that photo.

It's also took a back seat for a good reason, it isnt like you're lazy and just can't be arsed working on it. The venga bus more than makes up for it.

Truck makes me happy and the Puma is fun but I don't have the same affection for either of them.

Going to try and get something underway over winter. We've still got things to do on the truck but the Puma is largely forgotten about until April after this month so that is one less job.

It didn't need stripping down to a bare shell so it wasn't really broke as such. And I can be arsed, it's just going to be expensive and take ages.

Well its not working and on the road, so its broke in my book

You just wanted it perfect and have now decided you cant be arsed. Seemed like such a good idea when you stripped it?

HaHa it is in the same place but we are now using the shell as a storage place for random stuff
Should really get on with doing stuff on it. I can see our winter being spent on this.

I stripped down my white corsa and had in mind to turn it in to yours complete with XE/LET and super clean inside and out, bare shell respray etc. It went from this

which was really clean, even if not to trends right now; but ended like this afetr the strip down

Hated seeing it get scrapped

imo people get too anal about cars and strip them too early.

i could done this to mine a while ago, but instead fixed bits as and when the car needs it.

i also think people shit their pants when they see a little bit of rust, cars will rust, they are made of metal, takes quite a severe case of rot to end a cars life beyond repair.

i blame the internet for all the above, people with their nice shiny photos of freshly painted things.
