Pick my DC5 up next saturday and it needs 4 new tyres, obviously I don't want to put budgets on it so what's the best out there at the moment?

I've had Parada Spec 2's for the past 3 years and I'm sick to the back teeth with them now. Had Eagle F1 GSD3's before that and they done they job nicely, but is there anything that betters them now?

My old F1 GSD3s went a funny shape.

I'm liking my Kumho KU31s at the moment.

Some tyres seem to work well on some cars and not others

goodyear eagle F1's (GSD3) Were ace on the corsa and are ace on my VTS
but wernt all that on the CTR (sidewalls a bit soft)

What size are the DC5 tyres? Same as EP3?
If so I had vredstien ultatacs and found them very good and only £75 each from elite direct. Also the OEM fitment bridgestones RE040's are suposed to be pritty much unbeatable in the dry

I'd try and get the OE tyres like Bridgestones, they put a lot of work in trying to get them to work together. Is it still in factory trim?

yea im gonna be putting the Kumho KU31's on the Accord...was out on track at oulton with someone who has a set on their car, and in both the dry and (very) wet, they were superb.

Adam-D has them on his Evo too, and they cope fine. well priced too on camskill.

Hankook RS2 or Yoko AD08 is what i use on my DC2, Got the RS2s on my dc2 atm and they are great. they have stiff sidewalls so they suit the integra's great.

Cheers MJ

To be fair the OE tyres rule is a bit bollocks unless it's a high performance car.

On my 1.4 16v shopping car, albeit with 17inch alloys, the OE tyres are Bridgestone RE050A's. Overkill much.

Glad to hear good reports on the Kumho KU31's. I've got 2 for £155 fitted. And that's pre-booked time slot too.

I've just had 4 KU31's from Camskill in 205/40/17 delivered for about £180! Fitting will cost me about 20quid

they are £118 a pair on camskill and £10 down the local tyre fitter to fit, not much saving realy, the bridgestones in GP fit are £108 EACH on camskill and they are shite

the 2 I took off the rear of mine still had legal tread and they had split around the inside edge
