Ok i am having a dispute with Super_si, he rekons that it is the law that you have to delete mp3's after 3 days or you are breaking the law, clearly if no copyright is being infringed this is the biggest hack of crap ever to have flowed form the mouth of another human being, but just to prove that i am correct and he is wrong please vote.
I mean what if i made a sound file of me yodeling and then converted it to mp3, would i be breaking the law after 3 days? - clearly not, hence Super_si's theory is coplete fiction.
oh well - please vote away!

the law states you can only download music providing you already own a copy of the song, unless the band/dj have given the site permission to be able to advertise the downloading of their songs.

the law relates to copyright not to the file format mp3, this is the problem i have, to say that the file type mp3 has a predetermined legal lifespan is ludacris (yeah like the rapper) and is as such total balls.

Si is correct to a certain context - if the music is copyrighted to someone else (a commercial artist for example) then you are supposed to remove it after 3 days.
However, if the file in question is yours (yodelling for example ), then you are the copyright owner, and hence not under the same restrictions.
Course this is all assuming these have been downloaded 'wrongly' via P2P software or websites.
As far as I know anyhoo...

yeah and hence saying that mp3's have to be deleted after 3 days is wrong, i am not saying there are instances where it is illegal to keep them but to say that this is a mp3 fact is incorrect and hence Super_si is wrong, also there are plenty of copyright free tunes out there, and some tunes are relesed from copyright after a certain amount of time, hence they are used on skate videos and suff, they are what is called public domain, so you can share/distribute them at will.

this is not a copyright issue - its that Super_si rekons that an mp3 regardless of contend must be deleted within 3 days, which is wrong.

ScouseMp3s.Co.Uk is a site set up to help Liverpool DJ's listen to tunes before they buy them from a record company. This means if you download any record from this site it must be deleted off your computer within 24 hours. At the bottom of each page there is shops which we recommend to buy your records from. If you do not agree to delete these Mp3s off your computer within 24 hours please leave now.
