The car was in for an All Surface Protection Detail and arrived looking a wee bit grubby:
So onto the detail! Up first was a thorough pre rinse of the wheels...
Then sprayed with Gloss-It Wheel Gel...
...and agitated with raceglaze and EZ brushes...
...then rinsed off...
Tardis was then applied to remove any tar:
Another rinse followed before Iron Cut was sprayed on to remove any contamination:
Not a huge amount to show though:
One more rinse...
...and then out with the Meguiars Super Degreaser for the tyres and arches:
Super Degreaser was then sprayed over the engine bay...
...then agitated with Raceglaze brushes and a Meguiars Triple Duty Brush:
It was then rinsed with medium pressure @ 60 degrees...
...then left to idle for 5 minutes to help with the drying...
Meguiars APC was used for all the shuts and exterior trim etc...
...including under the spoiler which was raised to make cleaning easier...
I then rinsed these parts with the pressure washer on low pressure @ 60 degrees:
R222 was used in the foam lance:
This was left to dwell for a few mins...
...then thoroughly rinsed off at high pressure:
The car was then washed with the 2 bucket method and lambs wool mitt:
Then Tardis was applied before being wiped off with a soft mf towel:
Meguiars Mild Clay was used before the car was dried with PB Luxury Drying Towels and the Black Baron.
The paintwork was prepped with Raceglaze Pre-Wax Cut and Cleanse:
Then protected with the Black Label wax:
Whilst that was being done the interior glass was being cleaned with 3M glass cleaner:
Then thoroughly hoovered:
All plastic/vinyl surfaces were wiped down with APC:
Including the pedals:
303 Aerospace Protectant was then applied:
The leather was cleaned and then fed with Raceglaze Leather Balm:
The matts were given a thorough clean too:
Then protected with 303 Fabric Guard:
Tailpipes were polished with Raceglaze Alutec:
Exterior glass treated with Aquartz Reload:
And the Sun Gun was used to check for any smears:
In between all these details I had been painting the wheel nuts as they were looking a bit worse for wear:
After:
Wheels sealed with Migliore Wheel Sealant and tyres dressed with Gloss-It Signature Tyre Gloss:
Last job was to wipe down the paintwork with Migliore QD, give the car a final check and then get the camera out for the afters 
Here's the result after 8 hours:

Its just one of those extra little details that would normally get overlooked.
In my opinion they're better than they were before, plus the black ties in with the rest of the car.
Each to their own I suppose.

That to me is a car that actually benefited from a detail more than a 5000 mile old car that has only ever been driven carefully in the dry but has got a swirl on the headlight sorta thing.

That is one of the best transformations i've seen. Utterly mindblowing work.
How did he get the carpets so clean. They were a shit tip to start with.

how much does that cost?
I really dont get how alot of "detailers" take pictures at the begining with the dust in vents and on top of steering wheel and teh dead bgs on te front, try to make out that its the worst thing in the world, nothing a couple of minutes wouldnt sort out.
And seriously a light gun to see if there is streaks in the widnows?
They were made to help painters with colour matching and for the amount the cost seriously see that as over the top!

I think people fall into 2 categories. They either "get" detailing or they don't.
I get it. I bloody love it in fact! But obviously the Car Plan gang don't.

Its not to make it seems like the worst thing in the world. Its simply to show what condition the car was in before. Looking at the first picture some people might think it looks quite clean. The close ups show otherwise.
If the windows have been polished, you don't really want streaks therefore any necessary step is taken to ensure they are streak free. You pay for perfection, you get it.
They get used to inspect the paintwork during correction stages too so its not over the top, they're just making use of what they have.
