Thought of this thread after a conversation at work, everyone was thinking of what car they would like next.
I was totally stumped as to what to say
Did want a Astra VXR, but put off with that now as its got a pretty much identical engine as to what I have now.
Also, Im not going to be able to get anything much faster without paying £££££, or getting something older.
I have no thoughts of selling the astra at the moment, but I do like to look forward to the future
Was thinking of a Mazda 3 MPS, but the mega tax for it puts me off

Can't believe tax puts you off, compared to the cost of fuel the tax is nothing.

Stuck between shelling out on a VX220 or a Monaro.
Also tempted by an E39 M5 as they can be had for cheaper than both the above...
But, realistically, seeing as my Mazda will be with me for another 3yrs, I'll probably stick with the Corsa and keep ploughing money i'll never see again into it

Probably a big diesel saloon. Was driving down some roads today and realised that i like speed but rattles, hard suspension and loud exhaust is not my thing at all...

Haven't got RS4 money, an S4 is achievable, you can get a decent one for 7-8k, RS4s are still £13k upwards.
In an ideal world, I'd have an RS2, but it's the same story, just too much money, for now.

Still over £10k?!
Didn't realise that... The S4s are a lot more affordable, i've seen them for £4-5k recently

what do you want from a car? nice comfy cruiser with power or light supermini type car that handles well?
i quite fancy either a mk1 focus rs, seat leon cupra r or impreza wrx next. all have plenty of space and performance and not rattley little cars.

Cheapest RS4 on Pistonheads is £11.5k
Cheapest S4 £3400
Cheapest RS2 £11k
That S4 will be a nail, but it's still a BIG difference in price.
Only 5 RS2s on there, only one in the right colour

I've wanted a vx220 for about 5 years, had a go in one few weeks ago and didn't like it
Kinda hoping it was because the one I test drove was a dog tbh.
