done the going forwards thing for a bit now. i still enjoy it as atleast i have something to compete against ie a time. decided to see how badly a corsa handles for a change though.

got a helmet

got a corsa

got a bigblock engine

got a full weld in roll cage that goes to front turrets

got some 4 pot stoppers

got some pirellis as i cant afford yoko a048's as id kill the front 2 in a day.

got whiteline rear anti roll bar

got some stiff poly bushes

i think its going to be very interesting experience and i am quite looking forward to having a go. no all out time attack mode just going to have some fun and see how it goes. will lower the back end down as its set too highat the moment to try to make it get more grip when accelerating.

one thing i wish i did have was a baffled sump. although im going to try and get one sorted before the day comes.

any other improvements i should make before having a go?

thanks.

what i hope is, if it cain maintain a half decent cornering speed, whatever it can lose out to on other cars, once it gets to a touch of a straight it will gain it back up. it wont trouble anything though. im no elite track driver. never done it before.

Nick - I think those pirellis arent the best for circuits. They will overheat very quickly on smooth tar. Unless they are a fairly hard compound.

Worth giving them a try though

Another point - box in your fuel setup. Any sort of shunt/leak and you dont want fuel spraying all over the cabin!

Oh dear god, help us please, barnes on a track shocker, are muscles in your arms going to cope with having to turn a round thing in front of you.

Only joking, good luck, it will be nice to see another Corsa being used properly.

They are harder compound. Can't afford to get a048s x4 so will try them. It's just for fun any way

the corsa will do grand on track,

my van has cheap coilovers, cheap brakes, no roll cage but 310hp which is about the same as yours on idle!

and on track it does well, on a par with most chaterams/ scoobs and evos unless they are high spec ones! so yours will be faster then most cars :-)

will be awsome, i am at olton park tomorrow i am hoping for little rain cos van seems to run well in the rain with r888's, lol

You should do alright with those mods. Though with your engine it's going to be a tad frisky

Should be fun in yours

Start off steady and progress as you go IMO

Can't think of much more you could do with it before your first attempt on track - just go out, have some fun and go from there
