Modding cars as you get older is fine, you do the mods you couldnt do at 17.

I'm still doing it at 32 although it's not my day to day car.

If that's what you want to do, that is fine. Conventional wisedom used to dictate that you buy a new car on finance but these days I think there are more reasons to have an older car on the road and instead spend the money on keeping it nice.

I started to feel embarressed driving mine when I was 24 / 25.

Loved driving it, just hated to be seen pulling up and getting out of it.

Think the noisy exhaust was the worst part, to 99% of people it was just a silly little car with a silly noisy exhaust.

i felt this, and decieded yes

you throw money down the pan modifying tbh. Once my astra's sold i was going to be driving (another) 1.8 corsa c

BUT im going to sell that as i realy cant drive such a boy racer car as a main car, need to go places where people dont like loud cars, a corsa gives people a picture. Driving bigger more respectable cars you will find you grow up too

I want a BMW M sport now but my currant situation i dont want a expensive car nor do i want one where its going to be hard to sell in 3months time

exactly how i felt, stil modify, think i always will, i just do it with what people would class as a more "grown up car" but at end of day if you happy your happy, i just couldnt see myself going round to pick a gf up or going round to her parent house in a noisy corsa scrapping on the floor

idealy if like to have a day to day car like the is200 but a lock up with a car i can play about with

for some reason if you do the same with a second car - you just dont feel so bad because you know in your mind you have a proper car

if you get what im saying, so i guess its all a down to what you think, what other people think of you

when i was 17 i though driving fast and making aload of noise was cool - now i see some do that i think there a cock

What I love to do is buy a half decent run around and use the corsa when I want to go for a drive, or to a show etc. I'm 25 in a couple of months too

Wouldn't be bad if it was a let I guess. on the plus side, it looks a respectable, clean corsa. Although I would love a astra vxr, but affording one would be an issue

same. you just think ''what a bellend i must have looked''

i think it's different if it's a performance car like an m3/scooby/evo, but whenever i see a small car e.g 106/corsa/fiesta with loud exhausts and lexus lights then i just think what a twat.

Ive got an Astra 2l diesel, had it since I was 21, now 22. But then I think im mature for my age, I have a mortgage and wife to be to think about (and the pooch) so a sensible, reliable and cheap to run car is a must at this point in my life

Depends on circumstances - if you still live with parents and have no other baggage piss all your money away as you like, everyone has to grow up one day though
