Good reports then
I just figured they are old but i wouldn't care if it looked shabbyish or the bushes wore as I fancy a big lazy car again one that can Cary shit and is cheap to buy.
Can't be that hard to fix if it goes wrong either as it's old/simple

We have got one, on 150,000 at the moment and not had any major problems and it gets used properly on fields most days, towing, heavy loads in the boot etc .just a abs sensor and a crank sensor, on the 2.5td mate has got a 4.0 v8 in a grandcherokee on over 100,000 with no problems.
The 2.5td does have problems with headgaskets going but not too much of a problem if looked after.

Thanks Harris have you got a Cherokee or G Cherokee??
Will probably never tow anything larger than a small light trailer to the dump so doesn't need to be a monster

Its my dad thats got it and its a cherokee, they arent bad offroad either even if if parts are expensive.
If you get one get a v8 on lpg, the diesels arent very good on fuel and dont sound as good either.
A rav4 for isnt big or proper 4wd IIRC

My maw had one years back where they were first out, and I'm sure it was permanent AWD.

Think they are 2wd until they lose grip or something, not full time or selectable 4wd.
