the weirdest freak me out thing i had was when fishing i was sat on the ground by the water and some bug came crawling out of the water/mud, looked like an alien and just kept on walking at me.
turned out to be some dragon fly larva-walky thing, but it was damn ugly and gross
I couldn't sit down there for the rest of the trip

I was in bed the other night and turned onto my side. I felt something tickling my back and thought it must have just been the covers settling, but it kept doing it even after they'd stopped moving. I got a bit of a fright and flicked up the covers to see a moth flying out the wee bastard.
I've woken up in the morning when I was a wee guy as well to see a spider on my ceiling right in front of me (I used to have a cabin bed so it was about 2 or 3 feet away. I just left it because I'm not bothered by spiders and dozed off again - only to be woken up about half an hour later with the feeling of something crawling about on my ear! I sat up as quick as I could and started slapping my ear to get the fucker out. Worst part is I couldn't see it after, but I did stick my head over the side of the bed.

i have now been bitten twice by a redback and once by a white-tail, and i felt absolutely shit all three times.
White tail was by far the worst, got a huge flesh wound on my shoulder after a couple of days. Redbacks just make you feel like bad flu.
There is a reason to be scared of them over here lol
