Subaru sport 2.0 vs corsa x18xe with f20 box
anyone have any ideas on the outcome of this ?
me and a few mates have a get together everymonth and have a few 1/4 mile on leconfield army base
( with permission from the sgt major ! )
My mate just bought a 2.0 non turbo subaru with straight through exhaust, the rest is standard
My corsa is a 1.8 16v with an F20 box
i could just wait until later but thought it'd be interesting to have people views
cheers

Corsa all day long, they must have about the same power and the Corsa weighs a good bit less.

Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sport
0 - 62 mph 9.7 seconds
Top speed 116 mph
Engine power 125 bhp
The Corsa will be quicker IMO, As Alan said they have around the same power but the Corsa is lighter.
It will probably come down to the driver's in reality!

Even with a poor driver in the Corsa, a good driver in the Impreza would still struggle. They really are unimpressive or in my experience they are anyway

Aye obviously, but if you've got a shite driver that misses gears and just redlines it in every gear then it's not a certainty.

My 1.1 mk2 fiesta on carbs was quicker upto 60 than a subaru 2.0. Must just be the power to weight. The corsa should abuse it in a quarter mile.

Even the classic UK Turbo Scoobys arent what id call fast.A sport must be dog slow.Infact,a dog would probably beat 1.
