How does one go about browsing it in a way even slightly similar to a normal forum.
Am I missing something?
I go in and out of it (mainly /s/ and /b/ ) but I couldn't follow a thread.
Is there some layout I'm missing or am I just a spastic

if you see a thread you like, click reply on the opening post.
Then either add to it or just hit refresh until it 404s

Took me a while to understand it. It moves at a million mph so click on reply to the thread you want, then just keep refreshing otherwise you will lose it. I open a new tab to keep browsing the rest while that one gets replies.

It moves too quick to keep up with a thread you want to keep an eye on, unless you click reply and keep refreshing as said, if you make a thread put 'noko' in the email field and it will redirect you back to your thread, rather than it getting lost in the madness. As soon as a thread reaches the end of page 15 it 404's.

Nah, not worth going on budgie.
Have you seen the 4chan image viewer It shows all the images as they are being uploaded so you can link it to /b/ and just wait, when you see something you like you click on it and open thread
I'll link it up later

When moot was giving evidence in court regarding sarah palins email thing he explained further how the board works.
New posts get added. Newest at the top... pushes other posts down.
Once one gets replied to it jumps back to the top / front page.
There's only a set number of threads allowed to be alive at one time and so if they get pushed too far down, they just get deleted.
Also once an individual thread gets a certain number of replies it gets deleted.
Therefore the sites content is almost constantly getting removed - which aids the whole anonymous thing / feeling.
The site doesn't log who you are or what you read, but it does have a web log for requests for images against IP addresses and thumbnails which is stored (unlike the posts themselves).
Don't bother going through the pages, as content will be over the place. Just keep refreshing the /b/ page and then open things in new tabs and then refresh them.

Thank's for the essay explaining the blatantly obvious Paul, that doesn't answer my question though.

Basically how can you get the porn in a digestible manner i.e. your dick in one hand and the ability to click 'next' to the next dodgy photo.

That's not live is it? Just seen loads of frog ones go past, guessing that people wouldn't react to the thread that quickly?

Yep, only works in FF for me too.. plus, after awhile of it scrolling, all the images get distorted and messed up :/
Also, does anyone have an idea of how much bandwidth that thing takes up?
